They are a local food truck deeply rooted in Austin. Established in 2009 as a side project by a pair of chefs at an industry dive bar, one of the owners went on to win the top chef title from Bravo TV after being featured on Anthony Bourdain’s show. Since then, they have remained committed to their mission: serving Asian-American cuisine made from scratch with brand-specific ingredients. The owners chose this cuisine due to their backgrounds—one hails from Japan and the other from the Philippines. Their most popular items include chicken karaage, beet home fries with kewpie mayo, brussels sprouts salad with fresh herbs, and pork belly buns.
